Before you buy.
Will it work in free Google Sheets?
Yes. File > Import > Upload > choose the file > Replace spreadsheet. Every formula was written to work in Google Sheets as well as Excel — no XLOOKUP, no LAMBDA, no add-ons, no macros. The dropdowns and the green and red highlighting come across with it.
Why can't I type in some cells?
Those are formulas, locked so a stray paste cannot break the math. There is no password. Review > Unprotect Sheet opens the whole thing if you want to change something. You can still sort, filter and insert rows while it is protected.
How many tasks does it hold?
120 rows are set up and ready. If you need more, unprotect the TASK LIST tab and insert rows inside the block. The totals span the whole range, so they pick up new rows on their own.
Can I have more than six people?
The task list takes any name you type, so the project itself has no limit. The workload panel on PROJECT SETUP breaks out six, because six named slots is about where one shared task list stops being one team's list. If you have more, give the slots to the six carrying the most.
I changed the names in PROJECT SETUP and the dropdown still shows the old ones.
The dropdown is a separate list from those cells. Either type the new name straight into the Owner cell, which is allowed because the dropdown is a convenience and not a lock, or update the list in one go under Data > Data validation.
Does it work in free Google Sheets?
Yes. Every workbook is built with an older, universal formula vocabulary so it imports into free Google Sheets without add-ons, and it opens in Excel as well. You get both in one purchase.
